Even small spaces can be big on style, says Olson. That's what makes this kitchen makeover by Olson, host of HGTV's Candice Tells All and Divine Design, so impressive—she shows you don't have to sacrifice good design just because you're starting with a small space.

Lighter, Brighter & Better
It's hard to believe that this is the same space as before. Not only did Olson improve the aesthetics of the kitchen, she also repositioned the appliances for maximum productivity and added significantly more storage.
When it comes to reinventing a small kitchen, you don't have to throw the dishes out with the dishwater, says Olson. Instead, focus on working with what you have. Ensure your appliances are located in the most functional, efficient place. Then, consider extending countertops and adding new cabinetry that matches your existing cabinets. Finally, complete the look with a fresh coat of paint. Money left over? Consider new door hardware, window treatments, light fixtures and flooring.
