Bring the Outside In
Whether you're decorating on a budget or just want to bring more nature into your décor, use evergreens, berries and naked branches in vases, on mantles and windowsills. Or, you can spray paint the branches white and place them in urns outside your home.
Plan Ahead to Cut Down on Holiday Stress
A little planning can go a long way in relieving stress during the Christmas season. Right after Christmas, the sales begin. Take this opportunity to stock up on Christmas decorations and table settings. You'll be glad you did when the next holiday season rolls around.
Make Every Room Merry
Bring holiday cheer to each room of your house with these décor tips.

This year, find new ways to add Christmas spirit to your home. Discover the joy of decorating each room with its own Christmas tree or theme. Adding decorations to each area of the home adds to the celebration of the holiday and gives a sense of comfort and joy throughout. Here are a few tips to get you started:
- The Entrance Hall: This is the first room your visitors see when they enter your home, so make it special. In addition to a tree, include a wreath hung from a mirror and Christmas figurines on the hallway table.
- Children's Rooms: Most bedrooms are too small for a full-scale Christmas tree, so buy a small one that can be placed on a chest or dresser. And remember to choose soft, non-breakable ornaments.
- Kitchen: Place very small trees on kitchen counter tops or cabinets, and decorate them with cookie cutters and small kitchen utensils. You can also place clove-studded oranges in a beautiful bowl to bring warm holiday scents into the room.
Dining Room: This room should look especially beautiful and festive and should sparkle with joy and excitement. Beautiful buffet settings can be achieved with a few extra touches like gleaming candles, magnolia leaves, pinecones and evergreen cuttings for your centerpiece.
As you decorate this year, remember that just a few simple touches bring lots of warmth, comfort and joy into your home. Enjoy the cheer of Christmas decorating this holiday season!
