If you're stuck with colors in your home that you don't love, this episode will help! We share an important professional design trick that illuminates how surrounding an old, inherited or built-in color with the right new companion color can create the illusion that the built-in color has actually changed.
In our case, it's cost-prohibitive for us to repaint all the existing trim in our rental showcase house and then return the trim back to its original (not-so-great) color upon moving—simply not worth the time or expense. So using strategic new wall colors that maximize the power of refracted light, this episode illustrates how you can improve the look of the color you thought you were stuck with (it works on old built-in tiles too).
